more Singapore activities

In addition to shopping, windsurfing and eating these are a few of the things we’ve seen and done here in Singapore:

- Chinese New Year events.  These pictures are from that waterfront by Marina Bay.  The dragon is actually a china Dragon, not a Chinese Dragon, but a dragon made out of china dishes.

-the new Marina Bay Sands mall… the most impressive of Singapore’s many malls.  These are actually gondola rides and the most gourmet food court I’ve ever eaten at (twice).  The girl with me in on the escalator is an American we met at our Malaysian wwoof farm.  Jack is eating his favorite – yong tao fu.

-the Botanic Gardens which I very much want to call “Botanical Gardens.”

-the ambitious but pleasant Asian Civilizations Museum.  The first few are from a recently discovered 9th century shipwreck of a trade ship traveling between south China and the Persian Gulf carrying over 60,000 pieces of pottery.

  1. Seriously, though, I need to stand up straight. What am I doing?

  2. The gold necklace is so extravagant!

And oddly, Jack's shirt matches the Persian camel cutout quite nicely.

Hope you made it to Tiong Bahru Market for hawker food!
