Well, it is easier to quit a job than to find one that you like. Jack and I both liked our jobs in Boston, so it was a little sad to leave them, but it does feel good to leave on our own terms. We both had nice sendoffs including lunch, cake, alcohol and REI (my favorite store).
Now it's time to start spending the money we've been saving. This is yet another real world application of estimation - how much will a trip like this cost?
I think we have two boxes left to mail on Monday. Thank goodness for the nearly 24 hour post office at South Station.
It's hard to get rid of things you think you'll use and I hope we've drawn the line at the right place. Some things were easy, like my dresser, which was with me at 3 places in Montreal, 2 in Pittsburgh and 1 in Boston... and it wasn't even very nice to begin with :)
