For a summer family reunion we formed two sprint(ish) triathlon relay teams for the Whidbey Island Triathlon. I flew from Boston and Becky came up from Texas. Brad and Kelly drove over with their kids. We camped before the race and then had a surprise 80th birthday party for my grandma, two months before her birthday.
The competition was fierce between team Touch of Grey (Kelly, my dad, Becky) and CJB Sisson (me, my mom, Becky).
Touch of Grey eked out a win with a total time of 1:54:01 compared to CJB Sisson with 1:55:08.
Touch of Grey: swim - 17:02, bike - 1:09:32, run - 25:54 combined age 137
CJB Sisson: swim - 15:09, bike - 1:11:33, run - 27:23 combined age 114
My friend Porter did the event solo and beat us all by 20 minutes.
