I have been attempting to use the cameras manual mode some lately- previously, about all I ever did was force the flash to ‘off’ all the time. Mostly, this has been useful in low-light situations, and we even bought one of those little tripods that they sell to tourists to try and get some better shots.
Someday soon I will be ready for a wildly expensive camera, clearly.
Jack, great shots! My favorite is the one toward the italian hillsides in Florence(?). The thumbnail doesn't do it justice.
