Jack's been on the same team with a few people for 10 years now and as they all age, they're almost ready for a 40+ team (several already are 40+). He stepped away from being commissioner but will probably stay on as the manager of the 18+ for another year. His division has minimum playing time in the regular season, so that adds complexity to the manager's job. This year also included more conflict than is typical as the PSSBL which is pretty well organized, and people usually act like adults. Anyway, all that meant that Jack wore a lot of hats this season, so to speak.
He coached D's first year of kid pitch in the spring, another thing that probably won't happen next year. The week before the season started, D broke his arm, but Jack was already signed up to coach. By the second half of the season D was playing fine and thankfully a few people stepped up to assistant coach. Kid-pitch seems pretty tough though and the teams were fairly imbalanced in skill level.
Dd's baseball was limited to our boite.
Lastly, the Mariners made the playoffs so the season went much later than usual, and we watched some very tense games (from home).
