During a fortuitous gap in the wildfire smoke of fall 2022, we celebrated Dd's 4th birthday party at Seward park. It was his first party including friends. We had yummy bahn mi and cake from a place in along Rainier Ave. Kids brought bikes and scooters, played on the big toy and enjoyed the water fountain that looks like an old well. Towards the end we had a great game of duck duck goose. Our friends Read and Anne met our friends Teri and Daniel for the first time with all four present at the same time. My parents were away on a trip to Croatia but the other grandparents and aunts and uncles were there, for the most part. Our gift to Dd was a big box of wooden train set pieces. Also pictured is Dd's brownie celebration at school and a selfie of me and him on the morning of his birthday, just so that I'm represented too :)
