5-7 July 2013 - Lake Ozette and Cape Alava, Olympic Peninsula
- We hiked in and out by ourselves but camped and walked the beach with Tiffany, Johnny, Kendall, Scott and Kristina
- http://www.wta.org/go-hiking/hikes/lake-ozette
- 9.4 miles out and back plus lots of beach walking
August 2013 - Pinnacle Saddle, Mount Rainier
- Janet, Steve, Jack, Cari
- We think we did Pinnacle Saddle but the mileage on the signs was different (only 2.6). It seemed like we got to a saddle but it was impossibly foggy and fairly wet and cold.

3 August 2013 – Silver Falls, Mount Rainier
- Kelly, Scott, Claudia, Cari, Steve, Janet
- about 4.5 miles
- We walked to silver falls and the hot springs, then we drove to and walked around the impressive grove of the patriarchs. Then we walked down to the blue hole and “swam.”

1 September 2013 – Sunrise Rim and Burroughs Mountain Trail, Mount Rainier
- Jack and Cari
- about 12 miles in a gorgeous loop
12 October 2013 – Discovery Park, Seattle
- Cari, Jack and Anne
- About halfway through the walk I realized I had, in fact, been to the park many years ago. We had a nice 3-4 mile walk.
- I believe we started at the East Parking lot and did the loop trail plus a walk down to the beach ending up on Hidden Valley trail.
18 November 2013 – Silent Swamp, Issaquah Alps
- Cari and Rachelle
- We walked 4.5 miles on an old road because the part that was actually a trail was closed down. Good company but not a great hike. We did not see the swamp.
- Cari and Jack
- We walked about 3 miles just before dusk. It was very pretty and full of birds. This is a good, easy, winter walk, especially as a stopping point when traveling south.

1 January 2014 – Poo Poo Point, Chirico Trail, Issaquah Alps
- Jack and Cari
- 8.2 miles though the WTA description says it’s shorter and the signage on the hike says it is longer… We were tricked by signs into thinking we had passed the “summit” when in fact we had not gone quite far enough. Aside from that it was a fabulous hike – beautiful forest, well-maintained trail, steady incline without ankle-twisting rocks or steps. Next time we’ll find the viewpoint.
- Very convenient, at exit 17 from I-90, right by Issaquah HS.
