We’re still working with Seattle Public Utilities on a realistic solution to the water main/access issue (it’s a long, and still-changing story…).
In the meantime, we’re working with a structural engineer and trying to stay optimistic. Today Jack’s aunt and uncle helped keep up our morale by taking pictures with a remote control drone at approximately the height of our future kitchen and roof deck. Here’s a good west-facing shot, although we think the mountains are obscured by the clouds.

Jack also brought out his toy helicopter and got it temporarily stuck in a tree. Here are the boys with their toys.
