We had a wonderful little vacation this past weekend. We sandwiched a great backpacking trip between some quality time with our families.
Friday night we managed to get out the door after work. Then we spent the night on my parent’s boat in Gig Harbor, visited with them and some friends and did a little kayaking. Saturday we drove around the peninsula and camped by the ocean at Kalaloch. On Sunday, Monday and Tuesday we backpacked in the Hoh River Valley of Olympic National Park. Tuesday night we relaxed with Jack’s grandparents in Shelton and enjoyed their hot tub. Wednesday we dried out our hiking gear in Burien and made our way to a wonderful 4th of July party on Angle Lake.
